Connect Apple Keyboard To Trackpad

Apple announced the support alongside its new trackpad-equipped Magic Keyboard case for the iPad Pro with the expectation that you'll shell out either $299 for the 11-inch model or $349 for the.

  1. I have my keyboard and Magic Trackpad 2 hooked up to the above-mentioned USB 2.0 switcher hub. The hub packs four USB A ports on one side, into which you can plug your keyboard, mouse and trackpad.
  2. Apple is working on an iPad keyboard that includes a built-in trackpad, reports The Information, citing sources with knowledge of Apple's plans.
Hi jmcgale,
Welcome to Apple Support Communities. I understand that your built-in keyboard and trackpad are no longer responsive. I also see that you've reset the NVRAM and SMC, but are only able to use an external keyboard and mouse. I can see why you'd reach out for assistance with this; I'd like to help. First, use the steps here to boot your Mac in safe mode using the external keyboard you've attached: Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac
In safe mode, test to see if you're able to use the built in keyboard and trackpad. If so, restart normally, disconnect the external accessories and test again.
If the issue persists, use this guide to run First Aid on your disk: Repair a disk using Disk Utility on Mac
Test again and let me know what you find.
You can also use these steps to run a hardware test to determine if there is a hardware issue with the keyboard and trackpad: How to use Apple Hardware Test on your Mac
Best Regards.

I just had this same problem. Here's how I fixed it:

Apple magic keyboard with trackpad
  • In Windows 10's bluetooth settings (can be found in system tray), click on the icon and then click 'Add Bluetooth Device'.
  • Then, on the Apple Wireless Keyboard, hold down Command + W, while Windows is searching for bluetooth devices.
  • Then (hopefully) after it finds your Keyboard, it will want to pair with it. Follow the on screen prompts and eventually you will have to type in a pairing code.
  • Type in this code and hit Return.
  • Your Keyboard should successfully pair with Windows 10 via the Mac's Bluetooth

Hope this helps you out.
